Quarry Rock Hike

The Physical Education program at Pythagoras Academy implements a number of Outdoor Educational opportunities for their students. This month, the grade two students travelled to North Vancouver to hike Quarry Rock in Deep Cove. For the majority of students, this was their first time hiking. They had an amazing time and they were so proud of their accomplishment. Not only did this trip allow students to build a stronger relationship with nature and the outdoors, it also allowed them to step outside of their comfort zone and feel the reward of their hard work.

Floor Hockey Tournament

The annual Pythagoras Academy Floor Hockey Tournament is a great event to promote school community and build the school’s cohesiveness. Students also have the chance to experience some friendly competition between the house teams! Students from grade three to seven participated while the Kindergartens to grade twos cheered them on. As part of the Physical Education program at Pythagoras, this tournament promotes cooperation and teamwork between grades and is an opportunity for students to have fun while being physically active.
